Today's Recipe: Spicy Chicken Fry
This recipe is for everyone who lives in a dorm, cooks alone, or cooks in a hurry.
No more utensils, no more fuss — just a pan, some spices, and you've got matcha chicken fry!
Ingredients:
Chicken: ½ kg (boneless or boned, as per your preference)
Ginger-garlic paste: 1 tbsp
Salt: to taste
Red chili powder: 1 tsp
Turmeric: ½ tsp
Black pepper: a pinch
Lemon juice: 1 tbsp
Yogurt: 2 tbsp
Chaat masala: 1 tsp (optional but delicious)
Oil: 3-4 tbsp
Coriander or mint: for garnish
Recipe:
Step 1: Marinate the chicken
Put the chicken in a bowl, add ginger-garlic paste, salt, chili, turmeric, yogurt, lemon juice and chaat masala.
Mix well and keep aside for at least 30 minutes (10 minutes is enough if you are in a hurry).
Step 2: Fry the chicken
Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken.
Stir-fry well on medium heat for 10–12 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the spices are fragrant.
Step 3: Final touch
Finally, sprinkle a pinch of black pepper, garnish with coriander or mint. Serving:
Eat the chicken fry with roti, naan, or rice.
If in the mood, serve it with raw lassi or curd — a simple yet great combination!
